1. General:  Future Publishing Limited (“Future”) is committed to protecting you and your family’s personal information when you are using this website (“the Website”). We take our responsibilities regarding the security of information you provide to us very seriously. The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you of:

  • how Future will use the information we collect about you;
  • whether Future discloses your details to anyone else; and
  • your choices regarding the personal information you have provided to us.

2. What information will future collect about me?  If you wish to take part in the Young Photographer of the Year competition (“the Competition”), you need to register as a member on the website. In order to make sure you are eligible to enter, you will need to provide us with your date of birth and we will also need an email address to send an activation link to you.

Future also uses cookies (see paragraph 7 below). This information is not used to develop a personal profile of you.

3. How will Future use the information they collect about me?  Future will use your personal information to make sure you are eligible to enter the Competition, to administer the Competition and to notify you if you have won a prize. Future may also use your information for any purpose if we are required to do so by any law or other regulatory or government authority, to enforce the rules of the Competition, the terms of use of the website or to protect the safety of others. In particular, we may collect and use personal information for the purposes of investigating and, if necessary, removing any photographs about which we receive a complaint.

4. Will I be contacted for marketing purposes?  No.

5. Will Future share my personal information with anyone else?  We may use third parties to help us run the Competition and may need to disclose your information to them. Don’t worry – they will not be allowed to use your information for any other purpose than to help us run the Competition.

How long will Future keep my personal information?  We will only hold your personal information as long as is reasonably required for the purposes of the Competition (unless upon registration for the Competition, you ask us to hold the information so that you don’t need to re-register for next year’s Competition).

7. Cookies policy – information Future collects from you:  The Website gathers certain information such as IP addresses (that means a number which can identify a specific computer on the internet) and the number of visitors to the Website automatically. This is collected using cookies and is used by us, for security purposes to manage and improve the Website and to ensure the Website is as appealing to visitors as possible. Cookies are pieces of information that are stored by the browser on the hard drive of your computer. By using the Website you agree to the terms of this privacy policy and our terms of use. We may amend this privacy policy and the terms of use from time to time. If we do so, we will post an updated version on the Website. You will be bound by the new terms upon your continued use of the Website.
